Pollock City Administrator City of Port Coquitlam 2272 McAliister Avenue Port Coquitlam, B.¢, Deax Mr. Pollock: Re: Reallocation of Appropriations for Capital Spending ~ Justice Building Gur File R.C.M.P. - Justice Building You may recall that earlier this year among capital items approved for the Joint Justice Building were: Item No, 3 ~ Expand mesh screen on cell doors $1,000 to minimum of 3 feet Item No. 4 - 8 foot chain link fencing 1,751 I have received advice from the Civilian Staff Supervisor stating that the R.C.M,.P, would now not recommend additional screening on the cell doors, However, Mrs. Neumann requests and is supported by Inspector Young in this regard, that consideration be given to reallocate the $1,000 appropriation for sercening to extend the fence beyond that which budget appropriations were madé in the budget, . In that regard I forward herewith a copy of Mrs. Neumann's memorandum to me dated June 26th which is accompanied by explanatory sketch and further, copy of letter dated July 15th, 1975 confirming the request by Inspector Young. I am forwarding this request to you for consideration by your Council. Pursuant to our recent discussion I am advised that you could take the matter befc.e your Council at their meeting scheduled for August 11th, I propose to do likewise and to recommend that reappropria~ tion of the $1,000 towards fencing be approved subject to approval by your Council.
