The piece, a series of monologues making up a full-length play, features some new faces on the stage. This is who they are. -_- a a Frances Monro ’ Frances Monro - Fifteen Min- utes. Frances has had a varied and distinguished history with the Nanaimo Theatre Group. Her appearances have included Portia in The Merchant of Venice, Ruth in Blithe Spirit, and Kathy in Van- ities, as well as parts in musical productions. Frances and the ‘rest of the cast were ‘thrilled to dis- cover that, shortly after getting the role of Mira, the actress, Frances ~ fearned she was pregnant. Gloria’s interest in theatre began with the oral presentations she did as a school child. When she became a teacher, her interest deepened. She wanted to take music and drama back to the class- room. She has always wanted to act, but when she competed for Miss Saddle Club, she found she could not speak in public. She has found her voice for Tatking With. Norah Ferguson - Rodeo. Norah has an impressive history in the- atre. Her credits include Mrs. Darby in Heavens to Betsy, Evi- lene in The Wiz and the ingenue in Arsenic and Old Lace. Norah is currently the vice-president of TLT. "I really wanted this role", she says "as I always loved horses, but was never able to master them”. . Maion Davidson Maton Davidson - Twirler. Majon joined TLT this season, working backstage and prompting for Sinners. "As a newcomer to Terrace, there is no better way to meet people and have a lot of fun than by joining a theatre group," she says. She has worked primarily in musical theatre, appearing in Penticton, Edmonton and Inuvik prior to joining the Terrace Little Theatre. Maion was cast in Okla- homa the first and only time it was performed north of the Arctic Circle. Other credits include The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie, Any Number Can Die, and Swing Low, Sweet Chariot. Annette Canute - Audition. Annetie’s theatre training took place in Grade 8, 9, and 10 drama classes. Her roles have been varied, from a fly-eating frog, through a lip-syncing Tina Turner, to an asylum inmate in A Woman in White. This is Che's first aA ; role with TLT. Ann Sullivan | Ann Sullivan - Dragons. Ann’s acting credits include the mistress ‘in The Frog Galliard and Cinder- ella’s ugly step-sister. She played Marie Louise in the TLT produc- tion Forever Yours, Marie Lou, from which she received honour- able mention for acting at the Skeena Zone Drama Festival (1990). "This (Dragons) is the most challenging role I have had", she says, "a well conceived part!" Tf yew got the spi re, onake = cine were Dina Von Hahn Dina von Hahn - the Handler. Prior to moving to Terrace this past fall, Dina worked as a north- westem B.C, reporter for CBC radio in Prince Rupert. This is Dina’s first acting experience, but she has enjoyed watching local theatre for several years. Working as a broadcaster helped make her less shy about using her voice in public. Playing Handler has been a real challenge... as has working with the snake. Alison Thompson Alison Thomson - French Fries. Alison acted in high school and played: in the melodrama Gamma Gurton’s Needle in Seattle. Since moving to Terrace, she has appeared as the sensuous Monica for TLT’s fall production of Sin- ners. French Fries shows her amaz- ing range and talent as an actress. Marianne Brorup Weston ‘ Marianne Brorup Weston Marks. ‘Marianne first came ta Terrace Little Theatre as an assist ant costumer for The Wiz. He has played with a variety of ‘throw-together " bands, appeared at Folk on the Rocks in Yellow- knife with the Sooner or Later String Band, and has played the _ streets of Halifax and Vancouver.
