Initially _the Society would rent the home. for 6 months, with an option to buy, which they would only exercise if the home was proving satisfactory on all counts, in-~ Cluding neighbourhood acceptance. As usual time is of the essence, and we hope that any required neighbourhood canvass will be done on as positive a note as possible (bearing in mind the Society's excellent operation at 1974 Westminster Avenue). The Society has already prepared a letter to distribute in the neighbourhood, outlining their plans, so perhaps Council's petition could limit itself to ensuring that residents in the designated area have in fact received this letter, and giving Mrs. Mary Brown's phone number for further information, and the City Hall number in case anyone wishes to raise’ an objection.
