The Terrace and Thornhill Fira Departments ara announcing that "Tha Great Escape” will take place in Terace and Thomhill this October, but they're not planning to make local resi- dants disappear. In fact, tha Tarraca and Thomhill Fira Departments have been working in conjunction wilh the non-profit National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and fire depart- ments throughout the United States and Canada to implament the first-ever North American fire drill - "THE GREAT ESCAPE’ ~ during the 1998 Fire Prevention Week, October 4-10, “Tha Great Escape” is a concerted effort te gat citizens throughout North America actively Involved in fira safely, specifically home escape planning and practice.
