Eng., Assistant City Engineer SUBJECT: Design of Plastic Bags for Recycling Newspapers | RECOMMENDATION: That the design of the plastic bags to be used for the curbside pick-up of newspapers, as recommended by the Environmental Protection Committee, bea approved, BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS: international Paper Industries has recently submitted @ proposed design for the plastic bags which will be used for the curbside pick-up of newspapers commencing this summer. The Environmental Protection Committee has reviewed this design and has revised it-to delete the irrelevant information printed on the bags pertaining to the purpose of S.H.A.R.E. Society.
