BYLAW NO. 1967

A Bylaw to amend the "Essex Avenue Paving, Extruded Concrete Curb and
Storm Sewer Local Improvement Construction Bylaw, 1979, No. 1688"

The Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam, in open
meeting assembled, enacts as follows:

The "Essex Avenue Paving, Extruded Concrete Curb and Storm Sewer Local
Improvement Construction Bylaw, 1979, No. 1688" is amended by repealing the sixth
recital thereof.

Section 6 of the Bylaw is repealed and the following substituted:

“6-: (a). The owners share or portion of the cost shall be $13.75 per: foot of
taxable foot-frontage af the parcels benefiting from or abutting on the work in
accordance with the provisions of the "Local Improvement Charge. Bylaw, 1969, No.
912" and shall be paid from the Local Improvement Fund of the City.

(b) The annual charge for each foot of taxable foot-frontage to be
‘specially. charged against parcels benefiting from ar abutting the work -shall be
$2.29. for ten years in accordance with the provisions of the "Local. Improvement
Charge. Bylaw, 1969, No. $12, and shall be imposed in accordance with the
provisions of the Municiral Act and shall be paid into the Local Improvement Fund
of the City." _

Section 8 of the Bylaw is repealed and the following substituted:

"8... The City's share of the cost of the work shall be the balance of: the cost
of the work over ‘and above the owners’ portion of the cast and shall be. paid from
the general revenue fund of the City out of moneys appropriated therefore in the
annual. budget."

This By law may be cited for all purposes as the "Essex Avenue Paving, Extruded
Concrete Curb and Storm Sewer Local. Improvement Construction Bylaw, 1979; No.
1688, Amendment Bylaw; 1983, No. 1967".
