Moved by Alderman Mabbett: Seconded by Alderman Gates: That the ice rental rate for the Ringette Invitational Tournament be set at 50% of the non-prime hourly rate; That. the City operate all concessions for the tournament; AND THAT the Ringette Association not operate any concessions, Carried. Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution Alderman Muldoon asked if the Ringette. Association are in favour of the proposed rates and Aldermen Mabbett and Gates advised the Parks & Recreation Committee met with the Ringette Association and that the rates are satisfactory with the Association. Moved by Alderman Traboulay: Seconded by Alderman Gates: That the Returning Officer's report, November 21st, 1981 being the report of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam Annual Municipal Election held on November 21st, 1981, be received. NEW BUSINESS: Mayor Laking and Aldermen Wright, Muldoon and Mabbett congratulated Mayor-elect Traboulay, Aldermen Gates and Mabbett and Aldermen~elect Vater for their election to the Council. and expressed appreciation to all candidates for participating in the election. Mayor Laking introduced Director of Planning, Mr. Bill Brown, and welcomed him to the City. Alderman Gates expressed concern regarding the duplicaticn of "Victoria Drive" in Port Coquitlam and asked that this be investigated. Moved by Alderman Gates: Seconded by Alderman Muldoon: That the Planning and Zoning Committee investigate the renaming of "Victoria Drive" to avoid confusion for emergency vehicles. Carried, Alderman Muldoon suggested that other street names be looked at for duplication as well.
