A resident of Harbour Street inquired why the developed portions of properties on that street were zoned RS-] (One-Family Residential), while the remainders were zoned RS~2 (One-Family Suburban Residential), and Alderman Laking advised this was done many years ago for the purpose of allowing houses to be built on a portion of the one-acre or more sized parcels, while at the same time preventing development of the remainder. Mr. Ed Kruchkowski, 3878 Richmond Street, stated his concern at the zoning of the Nature Area being RS~2 (One-Family Suburban Residential), and Alderman Thompson advised that was the existing zoning at the time the property was so dedicated, “ Mayor Campbell then commended members of Council and Staff involved in the preparation of the new proposed Zoning By-law, and at 8:05 p.m. the Hearing was concluded. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: Hon.H.Curtis, Min.Municipal | Affairs re election/ appointment GVRD Directora t From The Honourable Hugh Curtis, Minister of Municipal Affairs, January 24th, 1977, in reply to a letter from the City requesting that the previous practice of Municipal Councils annually appointing Directors to the Greater Vancouver Regional District be re-instated in place of the annual election system, and advising that while the matter will remain under review, no change is contemplated in the immediate future. The letter was ordered received and filed. BY-LAWS: The City Clerk then advised that, as a required precedent, initial consideration must be given to By-laws Nos. 1499 and 1500, proposed to amend the "City of Port Coquitlam Zoning By-law, 1969, No. 918" prior to initial consideration consideration and subsequent submission to a Public Hearing scheduled for February 14th, 1977, of By-laws Nos. 15@1 and 1502, respect- ively, which said By-laws are proposed to authorize issuance of Land Use Contracts,
