and was forced by Phil

head of third baseman Lee
Lacy, moving Garner to
second.

Taveras hit a bouncer over
the head of Forster. The
Dodger left-hander got a
glove on the ball, retrieved it
but threw wildly and late
past first, allowing Garner to
seore the winning run.

The Dodgers, trailing’ 6-5
entering the ninth inning,
tied the score on a bases-
loaded sacrifice fly by
Reggie Smith.
