RECOMMENDATION:

That Council approve an extension of Rezoning Application 69/93 and Developrnent Permit
Application 70/93 for a period of ten months, commencing December 20, 1994, subject to
payment of a non-refundable processing fee of $5,900.00 as per the provisions of the
‘Development Procedures, Bylaw, 1987, No. 2243.",

BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION:

The subject Rezoning and Developrnent Permit Application is for the construction of a 74
unit apartment building in the Downtown pa Area, City Council gave Third Reading to
Amendment Bylaw No. 2849 on December 20, 1993.

The applicant has submitted the attached letter requesting an extension of his application
until the end of September, 1995 due to current unfavourable market conditions. Therefore, a
ten month extension should suffice.

Certificates of Title on file in the Planning Department indicate that the applicant is also the
owner of the subject properties.

It ig recommended that Council approve the extension of the application for a period of ten
months from December 30, 1994 subject to the payment of an additional $5,900.00 processing

fee.
