RE: Amendments to "Fee Setting Bylaw, 1993, No. 2770"

RECOMMENDATION:

That Amendment Bylaw No. 2847 be given First Three Readings.
BACKGROUND =:

At the Council meeting of October 18, 1993, the Bylaw to amend "Fee

Setting Bylaw, 1993, No. 2770", was deferred for further consideration of the
cost of reproduction for the Official Community Plan.

DISCUSSION:

It is proposed that the Official Community Plan be sold at a cost of
$50.00. This will cover the reproduction costs of the document, which break
down as follows:

1. 1" binder $ 3.50
2. 21 coloured maps (at $0.50 each) $10.50
3. 70 black and white pages (at 0.25 each) $17.50
4. Production cost $18.50

$50.00

The principal purchasers of the Official Community Plan are developers,
realtors and builders.

It is the policy of the Planning Department to give free copies of the
0.C.P. to recognized interest groups, when justified. For citizens at large
who have an interest in the Plan. the Department will have a summary of the
policies and land-use designations available for $5.00. Complete copies of
the 0.C.P. are also available at Terry Fox Library.
