Officer City of Port Coquitlam 2580 Shaughnessy St. Port Coquitlam, B.C, V3C 238 Dear Mr. Kirk: Res Crime Prevention Committee i attach, for your information, correspondence directed to the District for the information of the Mayor and Couneil, At a recent District Council retreat they had requested a status report on the committee which I was pleased to supply. As the City of Port Coquitlam is a stake holder, I would request that the Mayor and Council be involved in the process as Suggested in my corre- Spondence, i.e. report approval and committee approval. I don't anticipate any problems with this approach as you have a staff representative on the committee as well as a citizen appointee. We may have to discuss logistics at more length. It is intended that our initiativies will be universal in approach and application, as a matter of fact we anticipate continuing our relationship with Port Moody in deliv- ering a reasonably consistent level of Community Policing on a Tri-City basis. This approach is in recognition that many of our service organizations, both public and private (service clubs), are organized ona Tri-City basis. This approach is extremely critical in our youth programs that rely heavily on the cooperation of the schools Within District No. 43, Avlevcle. erkrkied ‘Bvokew Lindou AND Ware \AA\ Cy “Preverbion Kee avar\olale.
