Prior to the question being called on the foregoing resolution:

That the recommendation by the City Clerk dated October 21st, 1991
regarding Property Purchase of 1420 Coast Meridian Road be deferred for one
week for further consideration.

Defeated.
Aldermen Gates and Wright voted
in favor of the resolution.

Moved by Alderman Gordon:
Seconded by Alderman Talbot:

That with reference to the map section following this memorandum in the
Agenda of this Council meeting the following be approved:

1. That the properties shown marked on the map attached as Numbers 1,
2, and 4 (being 1.01 acre of foreshore, 0.76 acre of green space,
and 1.1 acre of parkijand) be purchased for the sum of $186,000.00,
said amount to be taken from the Parks Acquisition fund;

That the dedication as “Road” of property number 3, being 1.74 acres
in size be approved;

That a contribution by the City in the amount of $189,000.00 towards
the cost of constructing the road to be located immediately north of
1, 2, and 4 be approved, said amount to be taken from the Tax Sale

Lands Reserve Fund;

That the Mayor, City Clerk, and Treasurer be authorized to execute
the necessary documents required for the purposes aforesaid and to
affix the Corporate Seal of the City thereto.

Carried.
