BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS: This item is placed on the Council Agenda at the request of Alderman Wright, Chairman of the Planning and Zoning Committee, At the Council meeting of August 26th, 1991 the above noted bylaw fatled to pass third reading. If Council wish to resolve this matter: 1. Resolution 1 should first be considered, : 2. If Resolution 1 passes Resolution 2a should then he considered and if this fails to pass then Resolution 2b above requiring construction of 4 lane should be considered and if this fails to pags then Resolution 2c that does not require a ‘lane should be cousidered. Presumably one of these three resolutions will be adopted. 3. Resolution 3 can then be considered, 4. If Resolution 3 passes, Resolution 4 will then be available for consideration. Please note that the Council's action with respect to the provision or non~provision of a lane in Resolutions 2b and 2c ia only advisory to the Approving Officer. The applicant for rezoning will doubtlessly consult with the Approving Officer after the Bylaw haa received third reading (if it does ) and see whether or not the Approving Officer's view coincides with that of the Council. If it does not, the applicant will realize that the Couneil wilt probably not give final reading to the Bylaw and the applicant will then abandon the application. _A copy of Bylaw No. 2611 follows.
