August 28th, 1978. A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was held’ in the Council Chamber, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2272 McAllister Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B. C. on August 28th, 1978 at 7:30 p.m. His Worship Mayor J.M. Campbell, Aldermnen J.J. Keryluk, G.R. Laking, E.W. Mabbett, M.A. Thompson and L.M. Traboulay in attendance. Also in attendance were Chief Administrative Officer L.D. Pollock, City Clerk R.A. Freeman, City Engineer, F.E. Peters, P. Eng., Fire Chief W.S. Wingrove, Deputy Fire Chief J.N. Boileau, Planning Officer L. Lee _and Mrs. D.L. Vyse. ZONING PUBLIC HEARING: Zoning Public Hearing: His Worship Mayor J.M. Campbell advised the meeting the following proposed By-law to authorize issuance of a Land Use Contract would now be considered: By-law No. 1614: | B/L #1614 - to authorize To authorize the Council to enter into a Land Use Contract with a LUC - "Land | ; ; : Use Contract No P.C.S. Industries Ltd., $33 Jarvis Street, Coquitlam, B.C. in the form 28 - 1545 Lougheed Hwy. and to the extent set forth in "Land Use Contract No. 28" which said ~54 unit motel/ , restaurant : Land Use Contract is annexed to and made part of the by-law and the said complex. Land Use Contract No. 28 shall extend to and regulate the development and use of land described as: Lot 73, Block 4, District Lot 480, Group One, Plan 20844, New Westminster District. The above noted property is located at 1545 Lougheed Highway and upon its issuance Land Use Contract No. 28 will permit the land, buildings, and structures located or to be located thereat to be used for certain uses permitted in the CS-1 (Service Commercial) zone as set out in the said Land Use Contract No. 28 in order to permit the erection of a 54- unit motel and restaurant complex together with certain other uses permitted in the CS-1 zone and various provisions are contained in the said Land Use Contract concerning subdivision of property, the size, | shape and siting of buildings and structures and various other matters. The City Planner explained the proposed development and advised that access to the complex would be by a 20' wide frontage road running parellel to the Lougheed Highway and that there would be a natural buffer strip left in the rear of the proposed complex.
