February 17th, 1975 A reguiar meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chamber, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2272 McAllister Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B. C. on February 17th, 1975, at 7:30 p.m. His Worship Mayor J.M. Campbell, Aldermen J.J. Keryluk, G.R. Laking, E.W. Mabbett, P.F. Ranger, M.A. Thompson, and L.M. Traboulay in attendance. Also in attendance were Chief Administrative Officer L.D. Pollock, City Clerk R.A. Freeman, City Engineer V.G. Borch, P. Eng., Recreation Director Janna Taylor, Planning Officer Lanson Lee, Fire Chief W.S. Wingrove, Works & Utilities Superintendent G. Ulmer, and Mrs. B.M. Aalten. CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES: Moved by Alderman Keryluk: ven 10/75 Seconded _by Alderman Thompson: That the minutes of the regular meeting of this Council held on February 10th, 1975, be taken as read and adopted. Carried. CORRESPONDENCE & REPORTS FOR INFORMATION: From the Senior Building Inspector, being the report of building Jan/75_ re- port-bldg. permits issued for the month of January, 1975. Alderman Traboulay noted rome that the total value of building permits issued in January was considerably less than for the same period in 1974; however, he commented that he thought building was down all over. The report was received for information. From the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, February 10th, 1975, being Jan/75 re- por t-RCMP the January, 1975 Municipal Policing Report. His Worship the Mayor neted that the format of the report-has been changed from that used in previous years. The report was received for information. From the British Columbia Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Jan/75 re- - port-SPCA Animals, January 28th, 1975, being the January, 1975 service report of the Pound Operation. Alderman Traboulay inquired whether or not the Animal Control Committee had had an opportunity to review the proposed "Operation Tatoo" and make a report to Council. Alderman Keryluk advised he had seen the equipment and that the tatooing involves a relatively painless process of impregnating the animal's ear lobe with coloured paint. Alderman Keryluk further commented that the tatooing would be on a voluntary basis this year. Alderman Traboulay stated that he was anxious also to see the details on the proposed low-cost spaying and neuter clinic. The report was then received for infaruation.
