Damages of $2CO0O to 5 house fires. Approximately $10CO damage to a home caused
from the brick work breaking down behind the mantel of a fireplace. This fire-
place must bo upgraded to meet todays standards. Approximately $250 damages to
® home when the owners were using gasoline tc clean the floor and the fumes ig«
nited from the pilot light of the water tank. $350 damages to a home when child-
rens toys and miscellaneous articles stored too close to the pilot light of a hot
water tank, $250 damage to a home when blankets caught fire being dried near a
ges fired hot water heater. Slight damage to an apartment when a pot of fat used
to cook potato chirs caught fire. Little damage occurred to a drive-in when a
deep fryer malfunctioned catching fire and to an older home when occupants were
thawing pipes with an open flame. Extensive damage to an older bunk and cook
house type railway coach. These coaches are equipped with coal heaters and dure
ing the cold weather they were over stoked and started the wood work on fire.
