The rationale for the early closures and later opening is that this park is located in a high
density area. It is surrounded by apartments and a seniors’ care home. Many of the
residents in the apartments are older and have requested that they be able to have some
peace and quiet during the evenings. The Committee is hopeful that the amendment to the
bylaw will alleviate some of the problems. The R.C.M.P. will be notified of the
amendment when it comes into effect.
