Dear Sirs:

The Board of School Trustees has had discussions with the City
of Port Moody regarding the feasibility of a Performing Arts
Centre (Regional Auditorium) being constructed in the School
District by joint participation between the School Board and
the municipal components and with the approval of the Minister
of Education.

The City and the Board feel that prior to the discussion of any

such agreement a feasibility study should be made, and therefore

estimates of the cost of such a study have been obtained. The
estimated cost of the study is $7,500.00.

The Board of School Trustees wish to know if-your Council
would consider sharing the cost of such a study on the under-
standing that the sharing would 50% by the Board of School
Trustees and the other 50% by each municipal component and tke
unorganized territroy on the basis of population in the
component.
