x That the report to the July 23rd, Council Meeting, on Reeve Street
Park Clearing, be approved.

Background Infomation

Council, at their last meeting, requested that the Parks & Recreation Committee
review the various altematives for tree disposal once the clearing was completed.

Haul Away Trees

To haul, load and take away the trees and stumps would cost $300 per
load. Based on 35 loads per acre the cost would be:
$300.00 x 35 loads x 17 acres = $178,500

To Burn

To burn on site would cost an additional $1,500 per acre. The total cost
fourm! $1,500 x 17 acres = $25,500

To Stockpile

To stockpile the logs on site and stockpile the stumps would cost:
$2,500 per acre x 17 acres = $42,500
