Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution Alderman Ranger provided an explanation of school enrollment in the area and advised that in his opinion further information should be received prior to the rezoning application being further processed. Mabbett, November 14th, 1978 advising receipt Nov. 14/78 re TayLlor-Morgan Park. of communications from residents directly across Morgan Avenue from the proposed park area at Taylor Street and Morgan Avenue expressing concern about the parking on Morgan Avenue which is a very narrow street due to the drainage ditch, and the height of the fence that will be put up along Morgan Avenue to keep balis out of water, etc., and recommending that members of Council take an onsite look at this situation, and that serious consideration be given to allocating additional funds to improve the Morgan Avenue side of the grounds. The cosc of filling in the ditch would be in the $40,000 to $45,090 range and would provide additional parking. Discussion then ensued. PWC, Nov. 9/78 From the Public Works Committee, November 9th, 1978 recommending re GVS & DD servicing that the Greater Vancouver Sewerage and Drainage District be hired as study - ‘Industrial consultant to prepare a study for the servicing of the industrial area a. / : j area. at an estimated cost of $6,000.00 and that the funds be taken out of the money owed to the City by the G.V.S. & D.D. for uncompleted work when the Greater Vancouver Sewerage & Drainage District installed the trunk mains in the south of Port Coquitlam aad took over our sewer outfall.
