A lot ofthe people in the department will be sorry to sec it go,"’said Becket = ws Fire departments to ink deal THE AIRPORT and city fire departments are close to signing a mutual aid-agreement, [1’l} set out what each department will provide to the olher when requested, says Terrace fire de- partment chief Bob Beckett. He said the agreement will replace a verbal understanding that now calls for the city department to help the one at the airport but which does not cover what the airport department might provide to the city. © : , “T's always better-to clearly set out how each department can reciprocate. For our part, I’m interested in the airport de- partment’s capability with foam in case there’s an emergency dealing wilh flammable fluids in the cily. Counselling centre meeting THE TERRACE Christian Churches Ministerial Association is holding a public mecting May 10 to discuss establishing a Christian counselling centre. ; Zion Baptist Church pastor Ron Orr said the association hopes to have a representative on hand from Burden Bearers, a Christian non-profit counselling organization operating in 10 communities in western Canada. Burden Bearers conducted a three-day workshop at Zion Baplist Church this past February.
