Youth - Soccer season kicked off with opening ceremonies at Christy Park last Saturday as more than 550 turned out with relatives and friends for opening games, plus some picture taking and team introductions but minus the usual parade. | Registration was announced ‘as 665 with 43 teams (one more than last year) and a waiting list of 65. Slightly more than 60 young- sters are on a waiting list which was set ‘up due to a lack of coaches. According to registrar. Bev Bujtas, Youth Soccer should have a final total of more than 600. The highest total was seven years ago when 633 signed up. | It was also announced that Terrace and Kitimat would play a series of home-and-home encoun- ters on Sundays in June.
