RECOMMENDATION: That City Councli direct the Clerk's Office
to prepare a bytaw to rezone Lot 8, Block 6,

0.4. 290, Group t, Plan 13637 from A-! and
RS-| to RS-| and RS«IA.

COMMENTS:

1. This proposal ‘conforms with the overal| direction of the
Communtty Plan for davelopment of the south Shaughnessy

Street nelghbourhood.

Tne proposal was Initlatty submitted for consideration by
the City [nh 1983, but was withdrawn by the applicant due te
a downturn In the economy. The proposal was supported by

the Planning Committee at that time.

In the earlier proposal, the appifcant wanted se) phase
subdivision of the property, the revised application Is to

do the project all at once.

A design feature carried over from the phased subdivision
that Is not supported Is to have a lot franting onto
Shaughnessy Street. The policy of the City Is to not haves
tots fronting onto artertal roads. As a result the
appitcant will be required to modify thelr proposal
