Peters, City Engineer SUBJECT: Parking Lot at Maple and Elgin RECOMMENDATION: That the following changes to the Traffic Bylaw be authorized to provide for control of short term and long term traffic within the parking lot at. Maple Drive and Elgin Avenue: 1. That the north half of the parking lot be designated for three-hour Parking except by permit issued from City Hall. That the south half of the parking lot be three-hour maximum parking only without the provision for permit holder: parking. That two handicapped parking spaces be provided in the southeast corner of the parking lot. That a maximum of 80 permits be issued at any one time. That the permit be issued for three months at a time and cost $10.00 per month. That the permit be portable from car to car other than being a decal which is valid for only one car, BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS : Council has already approved of the permit system for this parking lot but has not received any of the details of how the permit system will function.
