Thee CONTANHENT OF BAd PROVINCE OF BAITISH COLLUMEMA BRITISH COLUMBIA CORRECTIONS BRANCH DEPARTMENT OF THE ATTORNEY-GENERAL 2540 'N' Shaughnessy Street, Port Coquitlam, B. C. V3C 3WL. January 13, 1976 His Worship Mayor J. Campbell, City of Port Coquitlam, City Hall, McAllister Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B. C. Dear Sir: Res Parking Facilities Further to our brief informal discussion early in December of 1975 on the above matter I now wish to make application to have eight spaces exempted from the 2 Hour parking regulation recently instituted on the parking area at the rear of our office. While a 2 Hour parking limit may be a reasonable time for motorists who do not work in the area, it is not quite feasible for people employed in this office. As Court workers and employees of Community Corrections it is essential that we maintain our mobility since we are frequently called to the Justice Building for Court appear~ ances. In addition, we receive numerous and frequent calls to intervéne in family crisis, particularly where juveniles are concerned. By having to park our cars at the Sports Centre or on other lots approximately four blocks away, our mobility and avail~ ability is severely restricted by the loss of time involved in getting to our vehicles. Consequently, the end result is a reduction in service to the people of this community. In conclusion, I trust you will give this matter your favourable consideration. Yours respectfully, LOC Din fll. A. E. Campbell, Senior Probation Officer. AEC/1g cece Fraser Regional Office
