A pre-hearing conference will be

Committee of the Canadian Trans-
port Commission on Wednesday,
September 11, 1974, at 10 a.m.
in the Discovery Room, Bayshore
Hotel, 1601 West Georgia,
Vancouver, British Columbia, ©
for the purpose of considering
the following matters:

a) consideration of validating
Interventions filed past the
due date; :

b) fixing of the date for the
commencement of the hearing
on the Application;

interrogatories or requests
for particulars made to the
Applicant by Intervenors, or
vice versa, and the fixing
of deadlines for the supply
of the information and
documents requested;

the advisability of filing
in advance, and the mutual
exchange of, written memo-
randa of evidence, with
procedure at the hearing
being limited to cross-
examination and re-
examination of the

oath, or the use by any party
of matters of public record,
for example, annual reports;

such other matters as may
aid in the simplification
of the evidence and dispo-
sition of the proceedings.
