Two men face charges in con- neclion with-the incident. Crown counsel Henry Waldock fold the bail hearing six club- wielding ‘men ‘forced their way into the house March 15, smash- ing windows and assaulting Ryan - Kluss and Jodi Coulter. Waldock told the court it ap- pears the attackers were looking for property that had been taken from one of them during the De- cember raid. He said the attackers smashed the windows and mirrors of the missing man’s truck, started a fire inside, and atiempted to set fire to the fuel tank, A second vehicle was also vandalized, Police also found a cylindrical object at the scene that resembled a bomb, he said. Terrace men.—-21-year- old Troy Wallace Jenkins and 23- - year-old Earl Daniel Wallington — were charged with break-and- enter and commit assaull, break- and-enter and commit mischief, . assaull with a weapon, and as= ‘saull. Wallington, who appeared in court last Wednesday wearing a black T-shirt that read ‘‘I love my bad ass allitude’’, was released on $500 bail. Jenkins was released on $1,000 bail, A third man was also charged wilh the same offences, but Waldock entered a stay of pro- ceedings. Waldock told the hearing there is insufficient evidence at this lime to prove guilt beyond rea- sonable doubt. Police. are continuing thelr in- vesligation, he said, adding the charges against the third suspect could be reapened, and new charges could be iaid against others. Wallington and Jenkins are to appear in court again on April 8.
