Crimes against per- sons are down to 23 from 29 last month with a clearance rate of 91 per- cent. Property crimes dropped to 102 in com- parison to 140 last month, This month Farewell Terrace — Carol Murray, Super- visor at Terrace Day Care, moved to Squa- mish after working at the local facility for close to eight years. The reason behind the relocation concerned her husband’s transfer. Recently, Break and Enter crimes made a tremendous drop from 21 last month to six this month. In Sept. there were 89 traffic tickets issued when in August there were 159 issued, but violations are up to 218 compared to 177 in August, This is because of violations which were noted during routine roadblocks. There were 45 accidents for a in- crease of three. Drug-related offences decreased from ten to six in this period, and there was a total of 165.75 hours of overtime at a cost of $1,837.43 to the municipality. Over the month there was a total of 93 voluntary hours for which no payment was claimed.
