a me. F Hg wish ! wie THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM MEMORANDUM J. Maitland DATE: April 7, 1994 | Acting City Administrator FROM: LR. Zahynacz, P. Eng., FILE: 103.3 City Engineer SUBJECT: DISCHARGE OF OPTION TO PURCHASE - 2165 SALISBURY AVENUE (Public Works Conmmistee Meeting of April 5, 1994) That His Worship the Mayor and the City Clerk be authorized to execute the Discharge of an Option to Purchase number U34518 for the.moeteasterly 1.4 metres of 2165 Salisbury Avenue. In 1988 Mr. Faurschou purchased a portion of Perth Avenue in order to construct a house at the south east corner of Salisbury Avenue and Perth Avenue 2165 Salisbury). This land sale left a’ road right of way width of 46 feet on Perth Street adjacent to 2165 Salisbury Avenue. In the event that Perth Street is developed in the future with roads and services, a minimum 50 foot wide road right of way would be required. Therefore, the City required as a condition of sale that the property owner grant an "Option to Purchase" to the City to obtain an additional four feet (1.4 metres) for future road widening if necessary. Last year the City sold a portion of the Perth Street right of way to the owner of 2159 Salisbury leaving a 6 metre wide right of way on Perth Avenue for the existing sanitary sewer line ard a public access as shown on the attached Plan A. As it is anticipated that the City will not require the 1.4 metre wide strip of land for future road right of way, it is recommended that the City grant a discharge to the owner of 2165 Salisbury Avenue for the registered Option to Purchase No. U34518 for the purchase of the west easterly 1.4 metres of the property in question.
