A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chambers, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2580 Shaughnessy Street, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on Monday, December 14th, 1992, at 7:30 p.m. Mayor L.M. Traboulay and Councillors M.D. Gates, M.J. Gordon, J.J. Keryluk, R.H. Talbot, M.A. Thompson, and M.R. Wright were in attendance. Also in attendance were City Administrator B.R. Kirk, City Clerk ยง. Rauh, City Engineer LR. Zahynacz, Director of Planning C.R. Felip, and Director of Parks and Recreation K.J. Taylor. His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay introduced Corporal Donna Kaluza, RCMP Youth Detail, who will be leaving the Coquitlam Detachment to serve in the Surrey Detachment. His Worship presented Corporal Kaluza with a Port Coquitlam book and pin. His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay introduced Ms. Jayne Parlee, School Trustee, who has become the Chair of the Coquitlam School Board. His Worship presented Ms. Parlee with a Port Coquitlam book and pin. That the minutes of the Regular Council meeting held on December 7th, 1992 be taken as read and adopted. Carried. D ANT His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay introduced Ms. Elizabeth Zaborowski and Mr. Norm Blain, B.C. Telephone, who explained to Council how a Toll Free Calling System came about, the costs to the householder and businesses, and how it would work. Moved by Councillor Keryluk: Seconded by Councillor Talbot: B.C. Tel is proposing the establishment of a toll-free calling area extending from Bowen Island in the west to Abbotsford and Mission in the east; By establishing said calling area, residents of Port Coquitlam will be able to call anywhere within the region without paying long distance charges;
