July 11, 1988/167 A Public Hearing pursuant to Section 956 of the Municipal Act was held prior to the Council meeting of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam in the “Campbell Room", Best Western PoCo Motor Inn, 1545 Lougheed Highway, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on Monday, July lith, 1988 at 7:30 p.m. His Worship Mayor LM. Traboulay, Aldermen M.D. Gates, M..Ce Farnworth, J.J. Keryluk, GoR. Laking, W.W. Stewart, and R.H. Talbot in attendance. Also ir attendance were City Administrator B-R. Kirk, City Engineer .M. Chong, Director of Community Planning W-A. Brown, Parks and Recreation pirector K.J. Taylor and Secretary §. Rauh. ZONING PUBLIC HEARING: His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay advised the following proposed Bylaw would now be considered: Bylaw No. 2371: to rezone Lots 12, 13, and 14 District Lot 379 Greup One Plan 17609 New Westminster District. from RM-2 (Low Density Apartment) to RM-5 (Dowatown Apartment Residential) The property is located at 2419-35 Wilson Avenue and would permit the construction of a 30 unit apartment building. Mrs. Sylyia Osberg, 3156 Raleigh Street asked for a more detailed description of the proposed rezoning. The Architect for the project gave a brief description. Bylaw No. 2372: to rezone Lots 178 and 179 Dist:rict Lot 4 Towaship 39 Plan 41277 New Westminster District. from RS~-1 (Large Lot Residential) to C-2 (Neighborhood Commercial) and the Zoning Map of the “Port Coquitlam Zoning Bylaw, 1987, No. 2240" is hereby amended to reflect this rezoning. The property is located at 3590 Westwood Street and 3563 Woodland Drive and would permit the construction of a commercial building. A letter was received from Mc. and Mrs. R. Postma referring to traffic concerus and that the access and egress to the commercial building be limited to the Westwood side, that Council look inte improving the traffic patterns on westwood Street and that Patricia Street between Hastings aud Woodland Drive be designated a school zone.
