NEW BUSINESS:

Alderman Farnworth heard that the Canada Pest Corporation was
contemplating the closing of the Port Coquitlam Post Office and sorting the
mail from Vancouver or Surrey.

Moved by Alderman Farnworth:
Seconded by Alderman Laking:

That the Council request the representative from the Canada Post
Corporation, coming to speak at the meeting of March 7th, 1988, to address the
matter of the contemplated closure of the Port Coquitlam Post Office.

Carried.

Mayor Traboulay announced the retirement of Mr. B. Brown of Andres Wines,
Port Moody.

Moved by Alderman Laking:
Seconded by Alderman Farnworth:

That a letter of best wishes for his retirement, be sent to Mr B. Brown,
Manager, of Andres Wines, Port Moody.

Carried.
