Freeman City Cierk SUBJECT: May Day RECOMMENDATION: That Council give consideration to passage of the following recommendations: "1. That the May Day Coordinator initiate meetings with the varfous organizations involved in order to assess fhe feasibility of having a May Day Society in place by 1985. That the 1985 May Day be sponsored by the City of Port Coquitlam in a similar manner as the 1984 May Day. That the budget for the 1985 May Day be $25,600. That the 1985 May Day take place on May 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 1985. That the contract price for the 1985 May Day be $8,500. That we aproach Helen Fitch to take on this responsibility. That the May Day Co-ordinator be responsible for setting up a May Day Society. : 8. That a store front office for May Day be in place for the months of February, March, April and May.” BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS: The above recommendations were considered by the Counci! at its committee meeting of September tOth, 1984 and are being advanced for formal adoption at this time. _ .
