April 2ist, 1975 Moved by Alderman Thompson: Seconded by Alderman Laking: That as recommended in a memorandum from the City Engineer, April 18th, 1975, Mr. N. Chernoff, Chief Building Inspector, be authorized to attend the Annual Conference of the Building Inspectors' Association of British Columbia on May 7th, 8th, and 9th, 1975, at the Richmond Inn, Richmond, B. C.; also, that Mr. A. Rasmussen, City Building Inspector, be authorized to attend the Thursday, May 8th, 1975 session; AND THAT their expenses in connection with attending the said Conference be paid by the City. Carried. From the City Clerk, April 18th, 1975, advising that Alderman Keryluk wishes to attend the 1975 Annual Conference of the British Columbia Library Association being held at the Inn of the North, Prince George, B. C., from May 22nd to 24th, inclusive, 1975, and that it was pointed out by Alderman Keryluk that he is a member of the British Columbia Library Association and a Trustee of the Fraser Valley Regional Library. The City Clerk, in his report, advised that along with the usual business at such a Convention, a recommendation is being made that a separate Library Trustees' Association be established, affiliated with the B.C.L.A. Moved by Alderman Traboulay: Seconded by Alderman Mabbett: That the request of Alderman Keryluk, as stated in a report from the City Clerk, April 18th, 1975, to attend the 1975 Annual Conference of the British Columbia Library Association being held at the Inn of the North, Prince George, B.C., from May 22nd to 24th, inclusive, 1975, representing the City of Port Coquitlam, be endorsed; AND THAT his necessary expenses in connection therewith be borne by the City. BY-LAWS: The City Clerk advised that By-law No. 1372, proposed to amend the "City of Port Coquitlam Zoning By-law, 1969, No. 918", and By-law No. 1373, proposed to authorize issuance of a Land Use Contract ~ the former being a prerequisite to the latter ~- are available for initial consideration, prior to submission of By-law No. 1373 to a Public Hearing scheduled for May 12th, 1975.
