April 18, 1988/097 A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the “Ranger Room", Best Western Poco Motor Inn, 1545 Lougheed Highway, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on Monday, April 18th, 1988, at 7230 p.m. His Worship Mayor LL.M. Traboulay, Aldermen M.C. Farnworth, M.D. Gates, J.J. Keryluk, G.R. Laking, W.W. Stewart, and R.H. Talbot in attendance. Also in attendance were City Administrator B.R. Kirk, City Clerk/Deputy City Administrator R.A. Freeman, and Acting Recreation Director L. Wheeler. CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES: Moved by Alderman Gates: Seconded by Alderman Laking: That the minutes of the Regular Council Meeting held on April 18th, 1988, be taken as read and adopted; And that the minutes of March 28th, 1988 be amended in the report from the City Engineer, March 24th, 1988, page 82, by deleting the words "pending Council's instructions" from the resolution. Carried. DELEGATION: His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay introduced Mr. Glen MacIntosh of the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia who presented Council with pins promoting B.C.'s Spring Counter Attack against drinking drivers and gave a short explanation of the program. Moved by Alderman Laking: seconded by Alderman Talbot: That the letter from the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia, March li, 1988, be accepted; AND THAT the Council's full support of the Counter-Attack program be hereby expressed. Carried. BYLAWS: Moved by Alderman Farnworth: Seconded by Alderman Laking: That Bylaw No. 2346 be read a third time. Carried.
