~2Q— With three teachers, including a librarian, on Council, hopefully the concept of the importance of increased information to all is quite Clear. In addition, Alderman Michael Wright made greater public information on Council affairs a key campaign issue. With November's municipal election fast approaching, the people of Port Coquitiam will be all the more interested inknowing how Council is conducting municipal affairs. It is the people's right to know and, I believe, municipal affairs are of personal interest to all of us. Let us hope that Council will bear in mind the words of one Council - Member, that "there is nothing sacred about Monday" and that "it is not ‘a sacred cow." Rather I would hope that Council will endorse the words of Alderman Len Traboulay, "Anything to increase, encourage public participation, I'm all for." - Let-us bear in mind, too, “better informed, better input, better government."- Sincerely, Kathleen Muldoon —
