Dear Mayor Campbell:

Further to our telephone conversation this
afternoon, I would confirm your advice that the City is
now prepared to accept the Coquitlam River Foot Bridge on
the basis that the Provincial Government will bear the cost
of its maintenance for the next five years. You need simply
invoice the Comptroller, Ministry of Provincial Secretary
and Government Services, for these costs as they may arise.
It is understood that maintenance in this context includes
all necessary repairs but does not include any modifications
simply because the bridge is acknowledged to be of good design:
and quality construction.

We would confirm that we have asked Mr. Art
Rogers of J.A. Rogers & Associates Ltd. to have the original
sub-trade, East West Alum Craft Ltd. repair the vandalized
railing as scon as possible.

I would appreciate your confirming as soon as
possible that the foregoing correctly describes the terms
of the Government's delivery of the bridge to the City.
