From the Public Works Committee, May 27th, 1977, recommending final readings be given to By-laws relevant to three proposed rezoning applications affecting the Langan—Warwick-Taylor—Brown area, namely, R#3-75; R#15-76; and R#17-76, and acceptance of cost-sharing arrangements and procedures for servicing 18 City-owned lots on Taylor Street. It was noted that final readings had been given to the three By~ laws concerned earlier this evening; however, the servicing aspect for the City-owned lots on Taylor Street had not yet been dealt with, and the following motion was then proposed: Moved by Alderman Mabbett: Seconded by Alderman Traboulay: That as recommended in a report from the Public Works Committee, May 27th, 1977, the cost-sharing arrangement and procedures for servicing 18 City-owned lots on Taylor Street as outlined in a report from the City Engineer, May 24th, 1977, be endorsed and accepted. From the Public Works Committee, May 27th, 1977, advising for informa- tion of a meeting held concerning the problem of litter around newspaper boxes throughout the City, and stating the Committee's view subsequent thereto, that if the Columbian, Province and Sun newspaper companies are informed of untidy conditions, an effertive effort will be made to clean the situation up. From the Public Works Committee, May 27th, 1977, advising that Mr. F. Apel has requested the City properties on the East side of Ulster Street be included in his proposed development of several lots on the West side of Ulster Street North of Essex Avenue for the purpose of sharing in the servicing and construction costs therefore, and stating the Committee feels that the matter should be referred to the Land Use and Land Sales Committees for further consideration.
