Our prosperity lies with the development of our tourist and other traffic by the Railway. Mr. Stork says that the Railway is out of politics and in the hands of Sir Henry Thornton. We know that he has made no effort to improve our conditions from a railway standpoint, since he took it over; in fact, he bas taken away what was possible and | moved it to Vancouver, and Pre-| mier King has put his stamp of him & new contract and raising his salary $15,000 per year. And we have no record of Mr. Stork objecting, Therefore, he, as weltas Mr. King, is in sympathy with Thornton’s action, so what is the use of sending Mr, Stork back to Ottawa? allow Premier King to get away from his pre-election promises by saying the Railway is out of poli- tics, but will insist that he imple- ment his promises of 1920, That it is not. out of politics would seem by MeGeer’s hand, as he says he will force the C.N.R. to build a hotel in Vancouver, take over the P.G.E. and build it into the Peace River, so as to bring the wheat from there to Vancou- ver.
