SUBJECT: AWARD OF CONTRACT ~- WORKS YARD AND
FIRE HALL ~ OFF-SITE SERVICES

That Council award the contract for the installation of off-site works for the new
Works Yard and Fire Hall to Edvan Construction Lid. at the tendered price of
$270,750 (including GST).

That $13,058 te allocated from the Drainage DCC fund, that $5,465 be allocated
from the Roads DCC fund and that $252,227 be allocated from the Works

Yard/Fire Hall project for this purpose.

DISCUSSION:

This contract involves the construction of the off-site services for the new Port Coquitlam Works
Yard and Fire Hall including road works, watermains and sewers.

The City received bids from five contractors and the lowest bid is from Edvan Construction Ltd,

based on price of $270,750 (including GST). The City’s engineering consultant CWMM

recommends the award of the contract to Edvan Construction Ltd. provided that a satisfactory
list of similar projects, constructed by Edvan Construction Ltd., be submitted along with a
satisfactory work completion schedule. This information has now been provided and is
satisfactory. |
