Kirk Bate: November 3, 1993 City Administrator File: OCP - 1993 Carlos Felip Director of Planning Amendments to Official Community Plan Submission to Public Hearing - November 3, 1993 RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the text of Schedule "A" of Bylaw 2848 be revised prior to Third Reading to reflect the following housekeeping amendrnents: 1. Amend sentences 2 and 3 of Section 7.3.4 to read "It serves important wildlife functions and is within the unprotected 200-year floodplain of the Fraser and Coquitlam Rivers. Some development within Colony Farm may be possible, but the degree and location of potential development are critical to sustaining wildlife populations, wildlife habitat, existing plant communities, and riparian vegetation along the Coquitlam River."; 2. Amend Policy 13 of Section 7.3.4 to read "That prior to any disturbance of the Colony Farm lands, the City will require a detailed environmental assessment of the area to identify and suggest means to minimize potential impacts on local and migratory wildlife and fish, and on plant communities." 3. Amend the first sentence of the third paragraph of Section 14.0, Part 1. Colony Farm to read "Colony Farm has been identified as a habitat for local and migratory wildlife and fish and is prone to periodic flooding." 4. Delete the third paragraph of Section 15.1. 5. Amend Point "i". of the Environmental Assessment guidelines for Colony Farm in Section 3.a. of the guidelines for Development Permit Area XII to
