Mr. Freeman, we are endeavoring to obtain a permit for the
installation of a clock sign in front of our new Credit Union
building at 2233 ~ McAllister Avenue. The Neonette Sign Company
has been commissioned to manufacture and install this for us.

Upon applying for the necessarynpermit, the Sign Company were
informed that the placing.of the clock sign at our desired
location would not conform to existing regulations as set forth
by the Gity.

The base and wiring have been installed where the. clock would
serve a useful purpose. To place it ten feet back from the

- street as is now required would not be practical and we wish
to appeal to the City Council. We have asked Mr. W. B. Hardy

of the Neonette Sign Company to appear on our behal? and we

would very much appreciate it if you would grant him permission
to appear before Council at their next meeting which we understand
will be held Monday, August 21st. If this request is too late, we
would then ask to be heard at the next Council meeting.
