November 4th, 1974 report has been received from the Building & Protection Committee concerning the request of the Commercial Hotel to retain two signs which are non- conforming, and he proposed the following motion: Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Keryluk: That initial consideration of the "City of Port Coquitiam Sign By- law, 1969, No. 936, Amendment By-law, 1974, No. 1341" be tabled pending receipt of a report from the Building & Protection Committee concerning the request of the Commercial Hotel to retain two signs which are non- conforming. Defeated. Alderman Laking voted in favour of the resolution. Prior to defeat of the foregoing resolution, a brief discussion ensued, and Alderman Keryluk stated he failed to see the relationship between the By-law presently under consideration and the non-conforming signs of the Commercial Hotel and Alderman Mabbett stated he agreed with the view expressed by Alderman Keryluk.
