Linda Reid 1960 ~ 2000 On August 27, 2000 the porters af Vancouver fland, BC, Canada lost Linda Reid, a potter and teacher, ta cancer. Linda was a member of the Oceanside Community Arts Counetl, a founding member of the Arrowsmith Potters Guild and owner of Nighthauk Pot- tery Gallery, all located in mid-Van- couver [shane Linda was bet known for her Sprris Pots, whitch are raku pinch pots with pine needle weaving. Her interest in rakn, however, ectended to tiles, thrown pieces, muralsand sculpture. Her 1998 work Through she Fire was featured during a show in support of Breast Cancer Research at the Victoria Art Gallery. As weil as being an artist and entrepre- neur she was also a generous contriou- tor to charitable organizations through- outthe community. She will be missed.
