Rugby Club is sticking to play mostly in the province this year, but 1990 is tabled for a trip to England. ‘It looks like the spring or fall. of next year for our exhibition tour of England and ‘Wales or. Scotland,” organizer Dave Hull told us. “We're working with British Airways, who specialize in set- ting up sports tours. We’re con- tinuing to raise funds for this jaunt, but for ’89 we’re sticking to the home land,” he said. Hull said last year’s trip to Hawaii was very successful, so it didn’t take much pushing to interest the team in an England. trip. : The North Coast Rugby Un- ion has finally given up on hav- ing a Kitimat team in the Smithers-Prince Rupert-Terrace circuit. “We tried to prevent the. demise of Kitimat, but last year they couldn’t come up with a- team for any games. Unfortun- ately, we're. down to three teams,’’ Hull. said. He told us the loss: of Kitimat meant they planned three weekend mini-series during the season, The first one is May 27 weekend when Terrace plays. host to Prince Rupert Saturday. night,, then. hosts: Smithers on: Sunday. .
