Grow Spring Wheat.

Editor Herald—Now | that the
Prince Rupert elevator ‘has been
leased to the Canadian Co- -opera-
tive Wheat Producers, Ltd., the
largest handlers of wheat in ‘Can-|:
ada, the farmers cf the ‘central
interior of B.C. should have a
ready market for all commercial
wheat that they ean produce.

As the company who has taken]:
over the elevator deals almost
exclusively in. spring wheat, I
would sugsest: ‘that. the farmers
who glow any wheat at all speci-
alize in spring wheat, and make
it a ‘point to secure good ‘seed.
Tam confident from my know-
ledge of the interior country, and
from samples received from vari-
ous partries, that the ‘soil and
climatic conditions are very suit-
able for the § growing and matur-
ing of spring wheat.

It seems to me that the settlers
now have a splendid opportunity
to increase their revenue and de-
velop their holdings and I hope}:
that they will co- -operate with
those who have béen trying to
help them, and plant a fair. acre-
age in wheat this year.
