That the City proceed with the following changes to the City Hall heating and air conditioning system as recommended by D.W. Thompson during the Energy Seminar: a) Provide controls to the boiler to automatically shut the boiler down at outdoor temperatures of 15.6°C and above. b) Experiment with the air supply system to reduce the number of operating hours below what is currently being used. c) Experiment with the chilter operating hcurs to reduce the number of hours of operation as much as possible without affecting the comfort of the Hall. Provide controls to schedule the boiler water temperature from space sensors rather than from an outdoor sensor. Provide insulation to the ramp in. the attic and arrange the ramp to move up and down on pulley and cable system. f). Install a time clock. to contro! the operation of exhaust fans which currently run continuously. g) Install highly reflective solar filming on the windows on the south side of City Hall to reduce the solar heat gain. 2. That D.W. Thompson be hired to provide engineering services for the items above which require some engineering input. 3. That the approximate cost of $3,500 for all the above recommendations be taken from the Energy Conservation Fund in the [983 Budget.
