treatment as "one would give to a guest in one's home". At the end of my remarks I concluded by saying that I gave great credit to the Premier for his Government's actions in extending excellent cooperation to the U.B.C.M., and I complimented him by stating that his Government had done more than we expected it to do. Premier Barrett later complimented me for the forthright address and assured me of continuing cooperation between his office and the U.B C.M. If you consider these remarks to be disgraceful, then I must assume that you did not hear them in full or that you were not present when I delivered then. I enclose a copy of my remarks for your information, and I would ask you to examine them perhaps with more attention than you were. able to do dur- ing the occasion in question. I believe your response is totally uncalled for and completely unfounded. Yours truly, Ces | M.S. EVERS, Mayor . President, U.B.C.M. Ald. J.J.
