A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chambers, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2580 Shaughnessy Street, Port Coquitlam, BC on Monday, January 10th, 1994, at 7:30 p m. Mayer L.M. Traboulay and Councillors M.D. Gates, M.J. Gordon, J.J. Keryluk, W.W. Stewart, R.H. Talbot, and M.A. Thompson were in attendance. Also in attendance were City Administrator B.R. Kirk, City Clerk S. Rauh, City Treasurer/Deputy Administrator, J GS. Maitiand, City Engineer IR. Zahynacz, Planner J. Lee, Fire Chief J. Baillie, Deputy Fire Chief G. Routley. Seconded by Councillor Stewart, That the minutes of the Regular Council Meeting of December 20th, 1993 be taken as read and adopted. Carried. DELEGATION: His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay introduced Chief Leonard George, Chief Glen Joe and Mr. Loong Lim representative of the Coquitlam Indian Reserve regarding Route No. 5 - Access Road. Chief George gave a brief description on the Coquitlam Indian Bands request to use Access Route No. 5. His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay introduced Chris Fielding of 1653 McCue Close representing Shaughnessy Woods expressed concem that the chosen route would now be changed. Mr. Fielding stated that the Shaughnessy Woods group is totally opposed to truck traffic on Shaughnessy Street. Moved by Councillor Gates: Seconded by Councillor Talbot: That the information from the Coquitlam Indian Reserve be referred to the Public Works Committee for consideration. Carried, Councillor Keryluk and Thompson voted against the resolution. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: Mr. Norm Blain representing B.C. Telephone gave a brief description on why Port Coquitlam B.C. Telephone rates went from group 17 to group 18. Denise Wood and Joan Belavisa account representatives from B.C. Telephone were also in attendance.
